Nature of Opposites |
The Long Walk |
The Nature of Opposites is a collage of things that are generally considered to be opposites. It features pictures of dogs and a cat. A sunset and a car sitting in a garage. These can all be considered opposites because of either their lack of life or biological differences. The photos are still able to merge together into a beautiful combination though. That is the nature of opposites in my eyes. The first visible layer is a photo of my three dogs, they are loud, energetic and wild while the second layer is of my cat. He is a lazy, fat cat that spends his days watching birds and chipmunks. The third layer is a photo of my dad’s car. It acts as the pinnacle of human engineering in this collage while my chosen background is a photo of the sunset at my house. I use this as a means of the purest form of nature that I could find. This all interact and blend together to form a beautiful mix of opposites. I enhanced the contrast and lessened the brightness of the collage. With all of these opposites mixed into one I believe that it truly expresses the Nature of Opposites

The Long Walk is a picture that features a head on shot of me with the view of the moon in the background. My features have gotten shaggier and longer. The night time theme goes against the sunset in the first photo and the shagginess is a direct opposite to the short cut hair I have in the first one. Both of my selfies are both good photos but I am happier with my first one because it blends so many elements into one successful element. The second has a darker feeling about it because of the lack of lighting and edits I made in photoshop.
